Patient FAQ
The questions patients ask us most often, with the honest answers.
It keeps your medical record in one place — vitals you log, medications, care plan tasks, appointments, and past consult notes. You can ask MedMETs AI questions about your own record, fill out triage before a visit, and share specific assessments with the doctors you choose.
Open the Settings tab in the app, tap 'Connect a doctor', and read out the 6-digit code that appears. Your doctor types it in on their end and you're synced — your record becomes visible to them until you revoke the connection.
Only you, by default. Doctors see your data only after you've connected with them via the sync flow. Each assessment you complete is private to you until you explicitly share it. You can revoke any doctor's access from the Settings → Connected doctors screen at any moment.
No. It's an information assistant that uses your record to give context-aware answers — what your numbers mean, why a screening was recommended, what to ask at your next visit. It never recommends medication changes and points you to your clinician for clinical decisions.
Never. There's a hard rule in the system prompt: MedMETs is forbidden from recommending a specific dose, dose change, or stopping a medication. Every relevant answer ends with 'discuss with your doctor'.
When you book an appointment, the app offers you a short triage form — main concern, when it started, severity, what you've tried. Your answers are sent to your doctor before the visit so they walk in with context. It usually saves about 7 minutes of history-taking in the room.
No. We don't sell or share patient data with advertisers. The business runs on practitioner subscriptions. The full data-handling policy is on the Privacy page.
Your account is bound to your email + password (and optionally Face ID). Sign in on the new device and your record syncs back. Connected doctors stay connected; you don't need to re-sync.
When you revoke a doctor's access, they immediately lose the ability to see new updates from you. The notes they previously saved into their own medical record stay with them per the records-retention rules of your country — but they can't see anything you log or update after the revoke.
Yes. Settings → Privacy & data → Export gives you a JSON dump of everything MedMETs has on you — profile, vitals, medications, care plans, completed assessments. We're working on a clinical-friendly PDF export too.
Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account. We purge identifiable data within 30 days; clinical data your doctor has saved to their record stays with them per medical-records retention rules of your jurisdiction.
Mostly yes. You can still log vitals and view your own data offline; AI responses and sync need a connection. Anything you log offline syncs the next time you have internet.
